Mother of deceased two-year-old girl arrested for murder
: Freedom Park community assists Eldorado Park SAPS in the arrest of 22-year-old mother.
Constable Roxanne Gibb from Eldorado Park SAPS confirmed that on Thursday, December 2 at approximately 7.10pm, the mother of the deceased 2-year-old girl was traced and apprehended in Telescope Street, Freedom Park.

The twenty-two (22) year old mother is a suspect in a case involving the gruesome murder of her two (2) year old daughter, which occurred on Wednesday, December 1.
“According to the father of the deceased 2-year-old baby girl, he had left home the Wednesday morning at about 5.30am and all was in order. He further alleges that upon his return from work at approximately 6.15pm on the same day, he noticed that the house was still locked. Upon opening the door with his key, he discovered the lifeless body of his 2-year-old daughter lying in a pool of blood,” explained Gibb.
Through investigations in the murder case, the Eldorado Park SAPS linked the mother of the victim to the murder.
“The Eldorado Park SAPS furthermore extends It’s gratitude to the Freedom Park community for their assistance in ensuring that the suspect was apprehended, including all stakeholders and community members for the roles played in ensuring that justice prevails. The alleged suspect is expected to appear in the respective court during the course of the week,” concluded Gibb.
