The human body parts were discovered by the suspect’s girlfriend.

“It is reported that the man is a tenant at the back rooms in that yard and his partner discovered the body parts after he had left to go to buy food at the shops,” said Brigadier Brenda Muridili, in a statement.

According to residents on the scene, the suspect killed his first girlfriend and then invited the second one over.

While she complained of hunger, he allegedly told her that she should not open the fridge and he will go get food for her.

It is also alleged that the suspect tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself when the police arrived on the scene.

The suspect was taken to the hospital under police watch.

“The body parts will be sent to the forensic science laboratory for identification,” added Muridili in the statement. The suspect will be appearing in court soon on a charge of murder.
