Diepkloof SAPS cops recover drugs worth an estimated amount of 3m

The cops received a tip of reporting a truck delivering drugs which will be coming into Diepkloof using the N12 in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Diepkloof SAPS police have recovered drugs worth an estimated amount of 3 Million Rands after responding to a tip of reporting that there will be a truck using N12 coming into Diepkloof to deliver drugs on Tuesday, 9 November morning.
 
“The Diepkloof SAPS responded to the tip of, with information that the truck has a Maputo registration number. The cops went to the N12 very in the morning and around 6 am, a truck with a registration number was spotted, the driver was stopped and they requested to search the truck, but he tried to negotiate with them not to search him, they then ordered him to come to the police station with them,” said Diepkloof SAPS spokesperson Captain Phephi Matlou.
 
 
” When they searched the truck, they found a compartment at the back where drugs were hidden, 15 packs of drugs were found and the driver was arrested, ” Phephi added.
 
It is not yet known what kind of drugs they are, however, Phephi said that the drugs will be taken to the lab to find out what drugs they are.
 
” We would like to thank members of the community for the tip of, because we all know that drugs are destroying our communities, we appreciate that within our community there are those who are willing to work with the police in fighting crime,” Phephi concluded.
