Kliptown police lauds community partnership

The Kliptown SAPS said the introduction of block committees around the Kliptown policing precinct is what has led to the drop in crime.

Kliptown Police has lauded members of the community in the Kliptown policing precinct area after observing a decrease in crime over recent weeks.

“I’m honoured to announce that we note the crime is reducing in the Kliptown policing precinct area. This of course is a result of the partnership between the Kliptown Police management,” said the station’s Captain Hitler Ngwenya,

he added that the introduction of block committees around the Kliptown policing precinct is what has led to the drop in crime.

“We managed t from street committees, previously known as block committee. Members of the public are giving us tip-offs and information. On behalf of the Station Commander, Brigadier Lesley Llyod, we want to commend members of the public for working together with the police of Kliptown.”
