Tablets given to NPO beneficiaries at Protea South.

Kagcishams, an NPO which tackles socio-economic issues launched a mentorship programme last Friday at Protea South Primary School.

At the launch event, African Bank donated tablets to the beneficiaries of the mentorship programme to help them attend virtual meetings and minimise physical contact under the pandemic. The programme aims to motivate and expose children to the digital world while allowing them to explore their full potential.

“With Covid-19, we realised that one of the biggest things we can do is to try and make sure we have the equipment that will enable us to have virtual meetings. I feel ecstatic because not only will the mentorship programme help our learners with their school work but it will also help them to be techno-savvy,” said Amelia Zulu of Kagcishams.

Learners were encouraged to invest a lot of time in their education to reap the rewards and take time to explore their gadgets as it will help them to be more familiar with the use of technology.
