The song was released on August 22 and is said to be doing well on all digital platforms.

‘Love me, not a love song’ was a song written after Jurzaan was cheated on in a very short-lived relationship.

“I think I can speak for all teenage when I say that cheating is the common factor in many relationships and I don’t think that people take relationships as serious as people did before. A lot of people are in relationships just for the titles of being someone’s boyfriend or girlfriend and I feel like it’s more than that,” explained Jurzaan.

The song starts in a spoken word with the first line being: ‘I don’t understand how someone can tell you that they love you and then two weeks after they switch up on you’.

Jurzaan shared that teenager’s go through a lot and its confusing when one is trying to build trust in a relationship just to find that the other person is not serious about you.

I’m just hoping that people who listen to this song make better choices, if you are a cheater, I hope that you will stop cheating. Your partner may put up a front but it really hurts. If you don’t want to be with the person then tell them don’t cheat on them.
