A 10-year-old shot for allegedly making noise in Jabulani

The Jabulani SAPS have launched men hunt for two suspects, one for murder and another for the attempted murder of a minor. The incidents took place at different Jabulani flats.
According to police reports, a woman was at her place of residence with her boyfriend when they had an argument and the boyfriend allegedly took a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the head once, locked her in the flat, and went to Kwa-Zulu Natal on r 2.

“The suspect then met the deceased’s sister and told her that he stabbed his girlfriend who is also a teacher on September 1. The sister then called their brother, who happened to stay in Soweto to go check what is happening. The brother discovered the body of his sister then called the police. All role players on scene leads are being followed up to trace the suspect who is on the run,” said Jabulani SAPS police spokesperson, captain Mabizela.

In a separate incident, at the Jabulani Lifestyle flats, a suspect is wanted for the attempted murder of a minor allegedly for making noise.

“The complainant reported that on September 2 at around 18:50, she was at work when she received a call informing her about a shooting at Jabulani Lifestyle flats. She then went home only to find that his brother’s son aged 10 years old was shot in the face by a man who stays in the same flats. According to witnesses, the man shouted at the children who were playing on the ground floor that they are making a noise and he then fired 3 shots. The victim was taken to Bheki Mhlangeni Hospital and is injured on his right jaw. The suspect was traced but not found. The incident took place at block c414 Jabulani Lifestyle flats Jabulani,” said Mabizela

Investigations are ongoing and both suspects are still at large.
