Proteas Netball Captain Bongi Msomi signs with Roc Nation Sports

The 33-year-old is also heavily involved in the development of netball in Soweto, making various appearances and scouting trips at local netball tournaments for the University of Johannesburg's netball team.

Proteas Netball Captain and University of Johannesburg Netball team manager, Bongi Msomi has signed with international talent management agency Roc Nation Sports. Msomi is the third-highest capped Netball SA player with 126 appearances and the national team’s longest-reigning captain.

The 33-year-old is also heavily involved in the development of netball in Soweto, making various appearances and scouting trips at local netball tournaments for the University of Johannesburg’s netball team.

Msomi was in Protea Glen for the Diski Nine Charlotte Maxeke Memorial Youth Day Tournament last week. She is the first female South African athlete to sign with Roc Nation. Msomi joins Siya Kolisi, Marcus Rashford, Kevin De Bruyne, and Skylar Diggins-Smith to name a few.

“I am fortunate to have met such an amazing group of people in my career and look forward to greater heights, not just for now, but for my plans as well. I am blessed and grateful to God,” Msomi said in a statement released by Roc Nation on Tuesday.
