Exciting News for property lovers! BBC Lifestyle brings a fresh local property show called Listing Jozi. A new property-themed reality TV show is on its way to your screens to showcase Jozi like never before. Produced by Alterna TV, the show will join BBC’s local line-up on Youth Day, June 16 at 20h00.

Even more exciting, we are proud to announce that the show will follow five high-end realty brokers from Johannesburg and one of them is from Soweto. Edgar Leopoldo Nche is an energetic and charismatic intern property practitioner hailing from Dube, He got the opportunity to experience and see the strength and tenacity of four generations of women – his late great grandmother, grandmother, and late Aunt – who helped raise him while his mother worked three jobs to create and sustain a great quality of life for her family.

Sales was never an area Edgar thought he would thrive in until he started working in promotions during his late high school and early university years and acquired his passion for the property through watching property channels and doing extensive Real Estate research.

In 2014 he was accepted into the EAAB ONE LEARNER PROGRAMME which focused on promoting young individuals who wanted to learn more and tap into the Real Estate industry, enhancing his rental knowledge in and around Johannesburg North and Sandton hub. In 2018 he joined the Law Real Estate team as a property intern and is embracing the opportunities and growth that this position brings him.

Nche will be joined Lara Nathan of Pam Golding Properties, Ryan Kwan of Law Real Estate and Jabulile Mazibuko of Law Real Estate. Viewers are invited to join these 5 as they traverse the complicated yet enticing landscape of real estate to successfully list and sell multimillion-rand houses in Jozi’s affluent suburbs and surroundings

Reality television producers Nico Nel and Trevor Kaplan who have been carving out a niche genre for themselves under the AlternaTV banner over the past few years, jumped at the opportunity to create South Africa’s first reality property show when the opportunity presented itself at the end of 2019.

“This is our very first, solely owned and produced reality show that we are immensely proud of. As if 2020 could not have been any more challenging, we decided to venture even further down the rabbit hole of financial uncertainties and continued to commit to and produced a first of its kind, entertaining glimpse into the lives of some of Joburg’s biggest names in the real estate game”, Nel explains.

“We are extremely fortunate to have crossed paths with a handful of very talented and successful agents for this season of Listing Jozi, as each brings a truly unique dynamic to the show”, Kaplan added.
