Pretrial postponement in the Nathaniel Julies case

Accused number 2, Simon Scorpion Ndyalvane's legal representative was the only member of the defence team who was not ready to proceed with the pretrial.

There has been another pretrial postponement in the Nathaniel Julies case at the South Gauteng High Court to July 23.

Accused number 2, Simon Scorpion Ndyalvane’s legal representative was the only member of the defence team who was not ready to proceed with the pretrial.

He mentioned that he requested further particulars from the state and that there was a problem with his USB stick so he could not play the video evidence.

The representative also filed for another bail application for the accused based on new evidence. The judge said he only received the document today (Friday) and will proceed with the bail hearing on June 17.

The judge was not pleased with the unreadiness of the council saying that he should have sorted out the matter a long time ago because this case has been postponed far too many times but will give him equal opportunity to get ready and have everything in order.

Whiteboy Caylene, Netshiangolo Vorster together with Ndyalvane will appear for pretrial on July 23.

The family continues to be disappointed. “It takes a minute to kill someone but we come here only for the case to be continuously postponed,” Nathaniel’s mother Bridget Harris said.
