Ntuthuko Shoba appeared with a new defense team in the Gauteng South High Court.
His charges were read out and a trial date was given.
The trial is set to begin on October 4 and Shoba will be detained and will remain in custody at the Johannesburg prison.
Shoba, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of his former lover Tshegofatso Pule is facing charges of murder, defeating the ends of justice and conspiracy to commit murder.
