Soul healing Sunday with Sjava

Soul healing brought to Soweto residents through music.

An award-winning, internationally recognised South African singer, rapper and actor Jabulani Hadebe professionally known as Sjava graced Soweto with his presence on Sunday night, April 18 at Soweto Meat Lovers in Protea Glen Extension 28.

‘Umama’ hitmaker took the crowd with a storm while performing on stage, as he is known for being a great storyteller through music, someone who always keeps it real and honest through a song. When he performed his hit ‘Umama’ fans started relating to the song and they started getting more engaged and showing emotions. During an interview session with Soweto Urban Journalist, the artist revealed that if he was not a musician, he would be a clown because he likes making people laugh and putting smiles on their faces. ” If I was not a musician, I would be a clown, I love seeing people smile,” he said.

Even though the artist did not reveal his actual plans for the year 2021, the artist ensured that he will be doing more stage performances in Soweto. He has recently featured Trompies in a music video called ‘Mbuzeni’.

The event organizer Matthews Baloyi, said that as Soweto Meat Lovers they are looking forward to hosting many South African Artists. ” We believe that Sjava’s music advocates for healing, we believe that souls get revived after listening to his songs and they become better people spiritually. We live in a sick nation whereby people are spiritually sick but physically okay, hence we saw it fit to have a guest of such high calibre to send a message of healing through songs to the audience especially women. Women are the ones who carry nations, therefore when they are spiritually lifted and healed, they will be able to impart the healing to others.” he said.

Just before the healing session ended, Sjava was joined by Sphectacula and Dj Waves on stage.
