Balogun The King released a new EP

A three-track project with a touch of ‘beautiful classy afro-beats’

Nigerian singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur Anthony Olalekan Balogun who is better known as Balogun The King released his second Extended Play Record (EP) titled; ‘Run It Up’.

This follows after his successful release of his first EP ‘Somayor’. The artist who is based in Johannesburg has collaborated with award-winning rapper Kid Tini in his second EP.

The three-track project was officially released on March 12.

“I am so excited about my new project, working with one of the best rapper Kid Tini is amazing, he puts everything into the music,” said Balogun The King.

The artist who was formerly known as ‘DJ Montana’ started his musical journey in 2010 as part of a rap group called ‘C4’ with Burna Boy being one of the seven other members.

After his short journey with the group, he continued as a solo artist and releases his debut single dubbed “Bounce to this” which was well received and air played all over Nigeria before he left his home country for South Africa to further his education.

His second EP ‘Run It UP’ was released under Vintage Records which is owned by Balogun The King, and the EP is said to offer beautiful classy afro-beats.
Balogun The King is inspired by artists such as; Fela Anikulapko Kuti, WizKid, BurnaBoy, Davido, just to name a few.
