The police are looking for a 34-year-old man for allegedly raping and impregnating a 14-year-old girl from Motswaledi last year.
“In August 2020 a case of rape was opened where It was reported that a woman had left her 14-year-old daughter alone in the house at Motswaledi informal settlement, the daughter then decided to go to the neighbour’s house to go ask for R10-00. She then found the neighbour who is well known to her, they all come from Mozambique. She asked the neighbour for money and he told her to undress, pushed her on top of the bed, and raped her,” said Diepkloof SAPS spokesperson captain Phephi.
“Later the mother realised that her daughter was pregnant and when asked about it, she told her mother the story about their neighbour who raped her. A case was opened and since the rape occurred the suspect has been on the run,” Phephi added.
