Help the Gail Britoe Foundation with their Easter Egg Drive

Last year over 150 children were catered for, this year the organisation hopes at going bigger.

It’s almost that time of the year when pickled fish and hot cross buns are present in our homes. For the little ones, it is the easter eggs that bring joy to their hearts. The Gail Britoe Foundation (GBF) which is situated in Eldorado Park, extension 2 is having an Easter Egg Drive.

The non-profit organisation was started eight years ago, and for the last eight years they have been feeding the children, teaching them after school, and assisting with homework, the organisation has also had many events for the children. The Easter Egg Drive is one of the events the organisation has each year for the children in the community.

According to the founder of GBF, Ensley Britoe, last year the organisation catered to over 150 children. “We have an Easter egg hunt which makes the drive super amazing. I and team GBF get up extra early to hide the Easter eggs and the kids must find them. There is a prize for the top 3 kids that found the most eggs,” shared Britoe.

The founder added that their Easter egg drive just keeps getting better, but the kids also increase as the years go by.

“Donations are coming in slowly this year; hence we know Covid is still harming our people. We would appreciate it if people can open their hearts and donate towards our Easter egg drive. God always provides, I trust that this year we will be able to bless more kids in our community,” concluded Britoe.
