Orlando East born rappers Scarra and Snyden released an EP

The EP consists of seven songs that were recorded on both their home studios and the EP was released on March 1.

Orlando East-born rappers Nkosinathi Hangana and Lwando Thafu better known as Scarra and Snyden came together and collaborated on an Extended Play (EP) record titled ‘Who would’ve thought.

According to the artists, the title of their EP comes from their thoughts that they would never work together as they only knew each other through mutual friends. Their first studio encounter was supposed to be just for a day with them recording one song but the energy they had birthed the ‘Who would’ve thought’ EP.

The song titled ‘Amalanga Awafani (Ungaphel’ Umoya)’ simply means days are not the same don’t give up, which was inspired by the hurdles that one goes through daily. This song is the first on the EP and lets everyone know that if you make it through the night there’s a brighter day.

‘Get Mine’ is the song that follows which is basically about getting what’s yours, although on the song it’s painted as getting money this simply means do what you have to to win.
‘Never Fumble’ and ‘Ekasi Lami’ are also songs on the EP.

The duo then showcased their skills by making 2 songs separately without losing the same concept they began with, Scarra coming with ’Get Lit’ and Snyden pouring his heart out with a tribute song to his grandmother saying ‘Ngyak Khumbula’, to close it off they featured artist ‘Wawa’ on the last song titled ‘Dlala Mechanic’. The duo would like to say that their EP is one of the best hip hop projects to come out from the south of Johannesburg in the year 2021.
