Man hunt for an armed robbery suspect terrorising the community of Dobsonville

Suspect is described by witnesses and victims as short in height man, with dreadlocks, a beard and has a fair complexion.

Dobsonville SAPS  have launched a manhunt for an alleged armed robbery suspect who is alleged to be involved in a series of armed robberies in the old Dobsonville area.

According to a statement released by Dobsonville SAPS spokesperson, constable Vusi Thokwana, the suspect is described by witnesses and victims as a short in height man, with dreadlocks, a beard, and has a fair complexion. The suspect speaks fluent Zulu and according to the latest report, he operates around the vicinity of Sifuba Street and Mohajane Street.

“In one of the incidents that took place at Sifuba Street, on Friday, February 19, a male victim was robbed of his personal belongings at gunpoint, and the area is now considered a hotspot for crime by the community,” Thokwana said.

The station commander of the police station, Brigadier, Sipho Ngubani is urging the community to help the police to find the suspect, he also added to say this type of behavior is unacceptable and that the suspect will be hunted and arrested.
