When asked to choose a favourite song on the EP, Chubby said she loved all the songs differently, but Indaba was the one where she went all out.
“Indaba is such a special song to me. It’s a song where I’m just feeling myself basically, sometimes we are too hard on ourselves you know? So on Indaba it was just to look back and admire that work that I’ve done and appreciate the journey. I hope everyone who listens to it will also look at themselves and be proud of how far they’ve come,” she said.

The EP, titled Umenzi Wezinto features a string of local artists but also a pinch of international flavour. The next step now for Chubby is to take the EP nationwide, this was revealed by her manager, Mandla Baloyi. The veteran music promoter said wheels were already in motion to get Chubby nationwide.

“Yea this is just the start, we already have plans in place to get her (Chubby) on the road. We want people to hear this music and hear her talent.”

“I just came here with a friend, but I’ve been very impressed by Chubby, I think she has a cool sound and I really can’t wait to hear more of her music,” said Cholo.
