Emshukantambo’s class of 2020 outshined the rest with a pass rate of 91.57%.

Pimville based Emshukantambo Secondary School took all the bragging rights that come with having the best matric pass rate amongst Pimville schools. Despite a disrupted year filled with unfamiliar challenges, Emshukantambo’s class of 2020 outshined the rest with a pass rate of 91.57%.

The school’s Principal, Richard Masemola said he was very proud of his staff and learners.

“There were difficult times, but the teachers were very committed and the learners pushed through, especially towards the end of the academic year where knees got tired. We needed all hands on deck, we needed learners to attend exam camp and we needed teachers to put in the extra effort. I’m very proud of our class of 2020 and hope they each prosper in their chosen career paths,” he said.

Former President of Emshukantambo’s debate team and one of the school’s Class of 2020’s top achievers, Zanele Mamabolo said the school’s exam camp was what helped her class the most.

“Honestly, the camp helped a lot. I think that’s what did the trick. We were with our teachers every day and they were very persistent. When you’re surrounded by people who are studying for weeks on end, you’re also motivated to study harder, so I think that camp is what got us over the line,” she said.

Other Grade 12s who performed well at the schoolwere Brits Lebohang, Mpotulo Mathapelo, Nkuna Junior and Phamotse Nteboheleng.
