Nhlanhla Rayiya devoted to empowering minds through the impartation of education

Rayiya has established an extra lessons tutorial called 'Bright stars' at Zola, Isulihle Primary School, behind Zola Clinic, whereby extra math and Geography lessons take place.

A professional teacher, who is also an environmental science student, from Doornkop is devoted to empowering minds through the impartation of education intellect in Maths and Geography.

Rayiya has established an extra lessons tutorial called ‘Bright stars’ at Zola, Isulihle Primary School, behind Zola Clinic, whereby extra math and Geography lessons take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 3 pm catering for grade 7-12 learners. The Centre offers a career expo, counseling services, donation of school uniform, applications for universities (four applications per learner), and bursary applications.

Rayiya mentioned that since learners are not the same, others have challenges in understanding certain topics in each subject, therefore the Centre ensures that it offers one on one session to such learners.

“We offer one on one sessions to academically challenged learners. The Centre consists of qualified tutors. We specialize in empowering learners and ensuring that we keep them away from the streets, to bring change in the community through education.” He spoke.

“This is to also help decrease the crime rate in our area, by ensuring that our learners are forever occupied with their studies and ensuring that their academic performance improves.” He added.
