Man(25) stabs girlfriend and slits his own throat
A case of attempted murder has been opened and is still under investigation.
An African male(25) has been arrested and is under guard for an attempted murder case. A complainant alleged that the girlfriend of the suspect called to inform her that the suspect wants to stab her.
According to the Meadowlands police spokesperson, Sergeant Octavia Thebe the complainant went to the girlfriend’s house at Mzimhlophe hostel and on arrival, he found the community outside the girlfriend’s house, with the gate and doors locked.
Thebe further adds that police were called and witnesses alleged that the suspect entered the girlfriend’s house through the roof.
“He cut open the girlfriend’s stomach and slit his throat.
“The community and the police managed to break open the door and both the suspect and girlfriend were taken to hospital,” said Thebe.
A case of attempted murder has been opened and is still under investigation.
