Diepkloof Saps under the leadership of Brigadier Makgomo Maake, conducted Okae Molao operation in all sectors of Diepkloof. The station was assisted by personnel from JMPD, Gauteng Traffic Police (GTP), and officers from the Johannesburg district.

The action executed was vehicle checkpoints, stop and search, taxi rank visits, two roadblocks at Chris Hani and Collinder road and Eben Cuyler road proceeding to the exit roads leading to the N 12 freeway.

165 vehicles were searched, and 375 people were searched. The operation then proceeded to Diepkloof hostel where two illegal shebeens were closed. The two illegal shebeen and gambling operators were arrested.

Liquor was confiscated along with one Jukebox and one Gambling machine. The station commander of Diepkloof Saps is appealing with the community to stop conducting illegal activities as this is leading to the commitment of a crime, putting the community at risk as the crimes are or maybe inclusive of assault, with housebreaking and theft as major concerns.

She further reminded the community to adhere to Covid 19 regulations to limit the spreading of the pandemic. Diepkloof SAPS is appealing with the community to report any suspicious activity or crime to 011933-7400/08600010111.
