The people from Soweto, Protea Glenridge shouldn’t have to famish into despair with The World of Hope National Council Clinic (WHNCC) making sure that they break bread with them every week.

After the dawn of COVID-19 and SA had to go on Lockdown to curb the rising number of cases, many people lost their incomes, and many others who didn’t even have incomes, lost ways of feeding themselves and their families.

Precious Muneri, The Chairperson for (WHNCC) explained that after noticing the poverty stigma around Glenridge, they just had to do something to challenge it.

Muneri said, “Whenever people see the banner for WHNCC, they should see it as a sign for a meal and care. They must not ignore us because we care.”

The national council clinic makes it a point to get sponsors from corporates like Shoprite, Boxer, and other stakeholders and makes sure that they take whatever they acquire to the people in need.

From helping abuse victims and substance abuse victims get back to total sobriety, clothing, and feeding them along with anyone else who needs, Muneri said, “We also have wheelchairs, walking sticks (Krutches), and balance chairs for the disabled to distribute freely. People must reach out to us.”

Marcia Hlungwana also joins the other ladies in dishing up for the people, she said, “We would like to say thank you to Shoprite for helping to take care of the Glenridge Community.”

Muneri said, “Our help is extended even to families with people bothering them with substance abuse and bully-victims, we also offer teacher training courses and family therapy sessions.”
