Two arrested for murder and discharging of firearm in Freedom Park
Eldorado Park police arrested two for murder and discharging of firearm in a municipality area that claimed the life of an innocent bystander.
On February, 1 at approximately 10h30 Eldorado Park SAPS members attended to a scene of a murder that occurred at the corner of Ambeeld and Fusi Street in Freedom Park.
It is alleged that two males aged 40 and 31 were fighting over a girlfriend, which resulted in an exchange of gunshots randomly fired at each other.
Both males were using their private firearms to shoot at each other along the street.

During the exchange of shots fired at each other, an 18-year-old female bystander, who was waiting for a taxi, got caught in the crossfire and was shot along her upper body.
The victim was taken for medical attention and was unfortunately declared deceased on arrival at the hospital.
Both the suspects were later traced by the Eldorado Park SAPS and arrested. The firearms of both males were seized and handed in for further investigation purposes. The suspects were detained at Eldorado Park SAPS and will appear in the respective court during the week.
Eldorado Park SAPS extends its condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
