Baby Nyiko murder case postponed to February 4

Teenage mother and her boyfriend make their appearance in court for toddler's death.

The late baby Nyiko Mthimunye’s mother and her boyfriend returned to Protea Magistrate’s Court today for their third appearance for the ongoing rape and murder case.

Both the accused  have applied for bail and their next appearance will be on February 04.

This has however saddened some members of the community as they feel that both suspects should remain in prison and pay for their deeds.

“I feel that both suspects should not be granted bail, they should remain in their holding cells, repent and do a thorough self-introspection on their actions and make peace with the ordeal they have created. If ever they get granted bail, they will not live in peace because the community is not happy with them.’’ Said Marcia Ntimbane, a Diepkloof resident.
