Eldos SAPS calls for community assistance in hijacking and robbery of Bolt and Taxify cases
Eldorado Park SAPS has throughout the year 2020 arrested numerous offenders related to the hijackings and robberies of the Uber, Taxify, and Bolt drivers.
Eldorado Park SAPS has throughout the year 2020 arrested numerous offenders related to the hijackings and robberies of the Uber, Taxify, and Bolt drivers.
As a result of the investigation findings, the suspects arrested for these offenses are usually repeated offenders, who in most cases are minors.
In recent cases, the modus operandi used by suspects include the act of females that are requesting the Taxify/Uber and when they arrive, they inform the driver that they were requesting on behalf of their friends, and thereafter, the suspects proceed to commit the crime of either armed robbery, hijacking and in certain instances, both acts of robbery and carjacking.

Eldorado Park SAPS, therefore, calls on the community members to get involved in assisting us by contacting the acting Station Commander Colonel Monegi on 011 945 1108 when they have information relating to these incidents, and they may do so anonymously.
The community should also be aware that they can become registered informers and any positive information that leads to the arrest and conviction of an offender/suspect has a monetary reward.
For more information on how to become a registered informer and for those interested in registering as an informer, the community members are advised to contact Colonel Monegi to make an appointment. The community member interested should have a valid identity document to be a successful candidate.
