How to make your own Christmas wreath

Save money by making your own Christmas décor.

Christmas decorations can make your home look so beautiful, however, this year has been rough especially financially for many. What better way to send the first week of the holidays busy designing and creating your own Christmas decorations? The school holidays start from the first week of December so if you have children, you can give them holiday activities which will keep them busy, and get their creative side out.

How to make your door wreath:

If you have a Cupressus Goldcrest which is those trees that look like Christmas trees, this project will work well for you.

You will need to clip off nice green pieces of the leaves from the Cupressus Goldcrest tree. It is always best to clip it in thick chunks.

You can use a hanger wire; you can open it up and create a circle with it or you can use sticks and make a circle by tying the sticks together to form the desired circle.

Once you have the circle and the clippings, you can start arranging the leaves according to the circle. You can then use glue or string to secure the chunk of leaves on the circle.

When you have everything secured, you can then make a ‘Merry Christmas’ sign or you can buy it. You can then add it in the middle of a wreath.

You can add a nail to the door and then you can add your wreath to the door.
