3 nominations in RSA Protea Flower Models Awards for Mamello Mehlape
Models becoming role models.
Wearing her crown proudly is not all Mamello Mehlape from Naledi in Soweto has been up to for these past years, but the shining star has been broadening up her horizon and got 3 nominations in the 2020 RSA Protea Flower Models Awards while at it.
Mehlape was nominated in three different categories for the Best female upcoming model, Debutant and Best overall model and she couldn’t feel more confident, she said, that she would soon take over the entire country like a wrecking ball.
Having been crowned the 1st Princess for the Miss Naledi Pageant in 2017, her confidence got a boost as a young girl, then she went on to be crowned as the 1st Princess again at the Miss Diepkloof 2018 then she went on to be Miss Spontaneous 2019. She received her first queen title as Miss Chantelle in 2018 and Teen Overall Winner and Ambassador for Face of Devotion Mzansi 2019.

Mehlape said, “Being the overall winner and ambassador for Face of Devotion Mzansi has had an impeccable impact on my modeling career. It has exposed me to another side of mine, being a humanitarian.”
The 17-year-old model has gained so much comfort in her skin, she described herself as a go-getter and a pure giver, already been part of many charitable events as a humanitarian, she owns her modeling academy.
Explaining her academy she said, “We are all about giving birth and guiding an entire generation of models that will come after me. Models who won’t just be stunning, but also role models to other young models as well.”
