Protea Norths’ very own Chorister sings woes away

26-year-old nominated twice for Mmino clap n' tap Awards.

Two nominations for Stephan Maleho, a 26-year-old chorister from Protea North in the Mmino wa clap ‘n tap Awards for 2020 is a milestone in his profile and not just about winning.

Winning, however, is in every person’s heart and the 26-year-old chorister is no different, having joined the Holy Saints artist Development back in 2010, Maleho said, “Singing has always been my thing, especially Gospel songs of praise and worship. Even though it’s not just about winning to me, I’d really like for people to show their support of my growth by voting for me as much as they can, as winning would be a bonus.”

It is all about growth for Stephan and ever since he joined the choir as a chorister, he has grown so much spiritually and musically, he said, “I have got to learn over the years that it is not only about winning a crowd over to chant your name but within that crowd, how many are being blessed or touched through your voice.”

Hearing about the news of his nominations for the finest male vocalist of the year and for the finest song of the year, Maleho said, “I honestly didn’t know how to react, and what to say, I became so emotional. I was so appreciative of the fact that the work that I put in with the choir is being recognized and that the people want to honor it, that really meant a lot to me.”

The two nominations mean a lot to the young chorister because he explained that they are already an upgrade in his musical profile, however, he said, “I give all the praise to the almighty and I ask that he helps me grow spiritually as he sustains me physically and make me his servant.”

Some people would say that the clap ‘n tap sound accompanied by a fine voice can hit home, voting lines are open and people can SMS MWCNTA J3 to 40439 and MWCNTA N7 to 40439 to vote for Maleho and make sure he wins and praises his God.
