Sounds of Soul share their musical journey through an EP ‘S’buya Kude’

S’buya Kude EP is set to be released later this month and will be available on music downloading platforms.

Meet the local talented Sounds of Soul (S.O.S) Musiq, a trio that promises to take the music industry by storm. S.O.S Musiq was established by Siyabonga ‘Da Cure’ Makhathini and Linda ‘Master Lee’ Walaza who met back in Primary in 2013, at that time, Master Lee had the basics of music production and when he collaborated with Da Cure they became a compatible Duo.

With all the ups and downs in the music industry, they still managed to get back on their feet and came back with a new EP Titled, meaning ‘We come from far’ in English, which basically takes us through their musical journey.

To complete this hit EP, they featured a young talented vocalist from Diepkloof, Keiteretse Mabapa. Keiteretse’s music career started in church where she sang at a church choir from 2008 and later ventured into more soulful gospel piano.

S’buya Kude EP is set to be released later this month and will be available on music downloading platforms.

“S’buya Kude the track, is basically about our journey in music, at the same time, a motivational track to motivate people to keep going in life, to never give up, there will always be challenges but nothing is impossible as long as you give it your all,” said Da Cure.

“We had a struggle of bringing the sound quality of our music-making, through mastering in all the projects as we are still building the system we use for music production we had to go through looking for studios which had a good sound system so we can master and mix our project to bring quality. Long story short, in the end, we found a suitable record label studio and successfully finished our project,” Master Lee added.

S.O.S Musiq says what makes them different from all the other musicians is that they combine African Sounds to create unique Amapiano music.

“What makes us unique is the combination of African sounds we use, and prior we can start any project, we 1st do a tour to search and collect as many creative sounds as we can, for our music to sound different so we can produce something that is authentic and relates to the culture of our country for which we call it Amapiano culture style,” said Da Cure.

“People have the belief that Amapiano music brings them connection, unity, love and also brings happiness, so, our aim is to deliver,” Master Lee concludes.
