Taxi collision leave two injured in Orlando West, Soweto

JMPD recorded the accident and will forward the accident report to the Orlando Police Station.

In the early hours of today three taxis collided at the intersection of Armitage Road and Klipspruit Valley Road in Orlando West.

According to the media statement released by the JMPD spokesperson Wayne Minnaar, It is alleged according to eyewitnesses the green minibus taxi and the white minibus taxi were traveling in the direction from Johannesburg CBD towards Soweto.

It further stated that the white minibus taxi was traveling in the direction from Soweto towards Johannesburg CBD.

After the taxis collided the green minibus taxi landed into a river on the side of the road which left the driver and one of his passengers injured and are currently receiving treatment in Bara Hospital.

“One of the taxis had no passengers and the other one was full but no one got hurt.

JMPD recorded the accident and will forward the accident report to the Orlando Police Station for the accident to be investigated,” said Minnaar.
