58-year-old granny and grandchildren laid to rest

No arrests have been made yet.

The 58-year-old woman who was found murdered along with her grandchildren in their home in Protea Glen were laid to their final resting place on September 2.

The 58-year-old lady was identified as Matsie Dhladhla and her grandchildren as Botshelo Motsele (14) and Tebello Motsele (10). They were all found dead with gory stab holes in them.

A case of murder has since been opened and Captain Kay Makhubela said, “No arrests have been made at this point, however, we are intensely searching for the people who committed this appalling crime.”

Gauteng police commissioner, Luitenant General Elias Mawela did order an urgent mobilisation of maximum resources to make sure that the criminals and murderers who did this crime are found and brought to book as a matter of priority.

Jozi Fm CEO, Mpho Mhlongo, and his team were touched by the sad murder of the 58-year-old woman with her grandkids and they just couldn’t stand on the sides so they went to the funeral to support the family and stage a silent march against GBV.

Anyone who may have any information that can help the police in their investigation and that may lead to any arrests for the murders is urged to Constable Thamsanqa Mkhize on 079 032 6291.
