DJ Bafana switching decks since 1997

Unleashing a man of many talents.

Mlungisi Khoza is Soweto based Deejay known to his fans as DJ Bafana who ventured into music back in 1997. At the age of 11, Bafana started collecting music and used to exchange it with his friends who shared the same vision and hobby with him. His love for music would score him invitations to go and play in some events around his community.

The Dj learned how Mix on Turntables and Vinyl in 2001 when he teamed up with 2 of his friends to form a DJ Crew.

Khoza said once performed in numerous events around his vicinity and surrounding area namely Secondary and Primary Schools event, Birthday parties, and Graduation Celebration.

In 2005 DJ Bafana decided to take his musical career to the next level by attending weekly DJ, Music

Production Networking Sessions in Rosebank, North of Johannesburg.

“I got to meet other like-minded youngsters who had aspirations to enhance their skills and chase after their dreams of entertaining diverse audiences the world around,” he said.

Dj Bafana has played a vital role in mentoring aspiring DJs who are now out there doing what they love most which is making people rock on the dance floor.

“In a short space of time I managed to get recognition in leading night clubs, I have done a number of live Radio Interviews and DJ Mixes and shared the stage with several leading entertainers.

DJ Bafana said he gained popularity after coming from his Debut Tour around Kwa Zulu Natal last year.

The renowned DJ has also graced the final matches of a leading soccer tournament in Soweto, shared his talent with a charity organisation and Non-Profitable Organisaitions that are close to his heart.

“My distinctive music selection, sharp fashion sense, and bubbly character have afforded me an opportunity to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

“This has also afforded me an opportunity to represent some brands that have come to identify me as their Ambassador,” explained Dj Bafana.

Khoza is not a musician but a community leader who is spearheading a Customer Service Information Project which focuses on empowering Secondary School Learners.DJ Bafana also owns a business known as 626 Entertainment.
