Lerato Kganyago and Lebo Mashile partnered with the car brand to motivate young girls at Bukho Bami Foundation

Hyundai light the way for young girls in Dobsonville.

For the month dedicated to women, Hyundai has partnered with Rethaka Repurpose Schoolbags, Flutter by Lerato Kganyago, and Lebo Mashile to light the way for young girls to have a brighter future.

The car brand handed over 30 Rethaka Solar bags filled with Sanitary packs from Flutter By LKG to a Dobsonville based organisation, Bukho Bami Foundation which aims to empower young girls to reach full potential.

Bukho Bami operations manager, Keamogetswe Mokgokolosi, said that this means a lot to them as an organisation especially during this Pandemic.

“This really means a lot to us considering the fact that we have been affected by the pandemic, it will also serve as a catalyst to restoring girls’ dignity,  we are grateful for what they have done for us,” said Mokgokolosi.

Born and raised in Soweto, TV personality, Golden Horn Award for best TV presenter winner, Lerato Kganyago is living proof that young girls in Soweto can achieve their dreams.
With her range of Sanitary towels, she decided to give away the first batch to all the young women in all remote areas across all provinces.

Girls at Bukho Bami were also given an opportunity to hear one of South Africa’s renowned female poets, Mashile recite a poem in person, especially for them. Mashile also used the platform to motivate these young girls.
