The Radio aims to recognise excellence in the music industry.

We can all agree that as local and upcoming artists, trying to make it in the industry has been a bit of a hassle to many, having to try to get your music to be played on radio or TV without any luck can be quiet discouraging.

SAUMA Radio HD has proven to be an ultimate hope for upcoming artists of all genres, calling on artists to submit their music to stand a chance to be played on the radio station.

The main aim of the radio is to give upcoming artists a platform to showcase their talent, to recognise and give them exposure at the same time giving their music career a kick start, free of charge.

Yours is to make sure that you submit clean quality music, songs need to be registered and not contain vulgar language. Selected songs will be played on this amazing radio station. Music can be submitted to Mysongs@gmx.com, Kwaito, Hip Hop, Gospel, all genres and there is no age restriction.

Founded by Hulisani ‘DJ V-neck’ Ratshitanda, SAUMA, which stands for South African Upcoming Music Awards, was a way to overcome his struggles and challenges as a musician.

As a young talent who grew up in Soweto, raised by a single mother, he had to rely on selling vegetables to produce music and with all that hard work, he was still not getting recognition or his music getting played on radio or TV, hence the establishment of SAUMA, where he started awarding local musicians who are doing great in the industry but are not recognised.
