Tributes continue to pour for Mgijimi

Orlando Pirates supporters mourn the passing of one of their own.

Orlando Pirates has lost a top fan Mandla Sindane popular known as Mgijimi. Sindane was a member of the Swaziland branch in Witbank.

Everyone could tell how Sindane loved his team as he was seen in every match whenever the buccaneers played, his face draped in white powder, and rocking a neckpiece written Mgijimi.

Fellow Pirates members are mourning and in pain but the reality is they can not give the top fan a befitting funeral due to coronavirus pandemic.

She explained that what hurt her the most is the fact that she can’t bid farewell to her friend.

Maxopani shared the memories she had with the late Sindane in the stadium and outside the stadium.

Mcebo Letlotlo Matsenjwa said this is very sad they are still trying to come into terms with it as Supporters from Swaziland.

She said the last time they were together was in Eswatini for Ingwenyama cup which is one of the soccer tournaments in her area.

Matsenjwa said they indeed had a great time as Eswatini Branch.

“We will miss the great spirit that he shared with us as supporters and the team.

“It’s not a loss to Orlando Pirates only but to the whole Supporters of the Football Fraternity. We lost one of the intellectuals in sport, “she said.
