ABC set and ready to re-open

WATCH: ABC daycare being sanitised

Ever since the lockdown period began on March 26 many daycare centers have been closed because all South African’s are expected to stay home to help curb the spread of the Covid_19 pandemic.

Many daycare centers have hope that since the school children are expected to return back to school they will also be given a chance to re-open. ABC daycare center is one of the centers that is prepared to welcome the little angels to school.

Modibane Cleaning Service helped sanitise the pre-school in preparation so that when it officially announced that they should operate they will be ready to start their teaching and learning.

The principal of the school Nhlanhla Kobedi said she has a total of 94 learners but according to her plan only 60 learners are expected to return to school.

She explained that she has three classes, but one is bigger than all of them. She will have 15 children in each small class and 30 in the bigger one so they can maintain social distancing.

Kobedi added that she has 8 teachers to help her ensure that the learners do adhere to the rules and regulation of the Covid_19 lockdown.



She said she understands that it is difficult to ensure that the kids wear their masks but the teachers will be there to make sure the kids don’t exchange masks or take it off all day.

She said they will provide the kids with masks that matches with their school uniform and ensure that they are sanitised before entering the school gate.
