PAC stalwart Bhekumuzi Dlova laid to rest

His children could not attend the funeral because of international travel restrictions.

On Wednesday, July 1 family, comrades, and friends of the late Pan African Congress (PAC) stalwart Bhekumuzi Addington Dlova paid their final respect to one of the party giants when he was laid to his last resting place.

Mourners could not give him the funeral he deserved as iJoni,  because they had to adhere to the strict regulations of the lockdown but many PAC members felt that Dlova deserved more.

Amongst the attendees of the funeral was PAC national secretary-general Apa Pooe who felt that the late stalwart deserved a huge send-off function but said when the whole lockdown ends they will organise something for all the members of the party that they have lost during this time.

His fellow PAC member and founder John Mahapa shared memories that he had with the deceased.

Although his children could not attend the funeral because they are overseas and due to the COVID Pandemic they are unable to fly to South Africa they sent a tribute message to their father that was read by Dlova’s granddaughter Xolo Maqethuka.

Thandeka Maqethuka read the obituary and the funeral proceeded to West Park cemetery.
