Feeding the Pimville children through a soup kitchen

A feeding scheme in need of donations.

A group of 10 young and energetic individuals from Pimville Zone9 are in a quest to try and source in donors for their newly formed soup kitchen.

Ndivhuwo Liphadzi who is a co-ordinator of Zone 9 development desk explained that this is their third week serving the soup to the children in the area.

He added that it is not easy, but they really try their best to make things happen. Liphadzi said their wish is to serve the soup for the whole week but due to lack of sufficient funds they only feed the kids twice a week.

Organiser of the initiative Tankiso Moremi said that they understand that most children depend on the school nutrition programme and since they are not going to school due to the pandemic that has hard hit the country and the world as a whole they thought it will be a deed to fill in the void that is left open in most of the kids by dishing up soup to them.

“Seeing that they can’t go to school to get their feeding scheme we decided that it was best to feed them from home,” he said.

Moremi pleaded with the community and businesspeople to help them feed the children. He emphasised that they strictly accept food donations that will help them prepare a meal for the kids.
