‘One World: Together at Home’ Virtual Concert.

Academy Award Winner Lady Gaga is bringing together celebrities around the globe for the One World: “Together at home” global special on April 18 as the fight to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. The global special is  a joint effort between Gaga, The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Global Citizen.

Celebrities to partake in the One World: “Together at home” benefit concert will include notable names such as; Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendez, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Camilla Cabello, Alicia Keys to name a few and will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.

More artist for the One World: “Together at home” benefit concert were announced on April 14 and notable South Afican celebrities such as Cassper Nyovest, Black Coffee, Nomzamo Mbatha and Sho Madjozi were amongst the names announced.




“It is an honour to help curate this huge broadcast event, which will take place on April 18. I’ll also be performing. We want to celebrate and highlight the singular kind global community and celebrate the power of the human spirit.

Global Citizen

In a statement released by Gaga on twitter, the “Born This Way” singer confirmed that she has partnered with Global Citizen over the past several weeks behind the scenes in raising money for the World Health Organisation (WHO) COVID-19 solidarity response.

“Seven days ago we held a call with more than 68 corporate from some of the world’s largest companies. I asked them to join my Corporate Kindness list, and in just a week, we have raised over $35 million. This money will go towards essential PPE supplies and testing kits around the world and will help improve lab capacity to rapidly process the test.

“We are going to fundraising, an I want to let you know now.. this broadcasts is not a fundraiser. We will raise the money before we go on air, so when we do go live, put your wallets away and sit back and enjoy the show that you all very much deserve. I love you all,” said Lady Gaga.

The Benefit Concert will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, VUZU, Showmax and will stream on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
