Rock Your Mother Tongue comedy (The R?union) is returning in February 2020 and this time at Carnival City, Big Arena with an even bigger and better line up.
This year promises to be even bigger as comedian Mashabela Galane will incorporate his “More than a decade in comedy” celebration.

Rock Your Mother Tongue Comedy Show is a long-standing Proudly South African brand and has been associated with the trailblazers of vernac comedy.
The show is synonymous with the ever-changing South African urban culture influenced by a myriad of factors such as politics, socio-economic factors and fast-growing integration into the global scenes. The brand of comedy showcased fuses the different South African cultures.
Mashabela says, “Vernacular comedians are not as recognised as the mainstream guys. We have to work harder to get the recognition, but vernacular comedy is growing and people who come to the shows are extremely loyal and show a huge amount of love and appreciation.”
