Nhlanhla Mduna from White City to represent South Africa as a delegate to take part in Asia Youth International Model United Nation 2020

The 17-year-old is planning to launch 'The Mduna Foundation', the foundation will be offering tutorials for Business History, Tourism, Mathematic Literacy with study resources and skills for matriculants.

White City’s very own passionate and driven boy, 17-year-old Nhlanhla Mduna who passed his matric with Bachelor’s Degree and two distinctions has been selected to represent South Africa as a delegate to take part in Asia Youth International Model United Nation 2020 in Putrajava, Malaysia.

Mduna said among the 11 965 thousand registrants he managed to be in the 3000 selected delegates worldwide to partake in the leadership program.

“Through this program, I will be able to gain a lot from leadership skills and different cultures.
“I will also be allocated tasks which will give me solutions in solving the issues we currently face as South Africa’ like gender-based violence and global issues.”

He is determined to take this opportunity and grab it with both hands and hoping it can help him change the world and improve the livelihood of his community.

“This Opportunity is a very good one which can help me change the world and improve the livelihood of my community.”

Mduna explained that the program is self-funded and he managed to get Vodacom on board to sponsor him with flight tickets and paid for all expenses resulting in him to be an Ambassador.

The 17-year-old is planning to launch ‘The Mduna Foundation’, the foundation will be offering tutorials for Business History, Tourism, Mathematic Literacy with study resources and skills for matriculants.

“We will have a monthly physical activities program where children and parents are invited to partake in fun activities and this will give them a chance to bond while building their physical well-being and keeping them active.”

He concluded that they will host end year trips as part of the celebration.
