Dj Big Sky new single titled ‘fire’ advocate for love among neighbours
“Send Fire to the enemy”
Dj Big Sky new single release titled ‘fire ‘takes the country by storm and is one of the 2019 hit songs. The single was inspired by Sbhanga, the young and upcoming vocalist on the song.
“The message that the song is sending to the people is that people should love their neighbours as they love themselves, regardless of whether their neighbours love them or not, it is also about sending fire to the enemies camp and not conforming to the temptations nor the patterns of the world, it’s basically about sending a positive vibe out there,” said DJ Big Sky.
The single is doing pretty well and is standing on a great number of downloads. “The support we received through this new release is beyond our expectations”, he added.
Mncedisi Mnguni known as Dj Big Sky started deejaying around 2003, mentored by Dj Star who was at the time part of the Legendary Group BFR formed by phenomenal Dj Mbuso.

In 2007 he then featured DJ on Da City with Mr.T on YFM every Saturday. It’s on the same show that he was able to highlight a lot of upcoming talent through a feature called Vinyl Junkies where a lot of DJs got exposed, the likes of BK (He was part of Deep Xpressions signed to BBB Music) and Dj Zonke (A DJ/producer signed to Kalawa Jazmee).
In the year 2008 he started the duo called Jazzulu where he worked with pianist Busi, the group released a few singles on the radio and was part of a nationwide tour with Castle Milk Stout Unplugged sessions.
During that time, he was also doubling as a record Label Manager for Mzee’s (Mzilikazi Wa Afrika) record label called Bomba Records.
The duo has since separated and BigSky went the corporate route to pursue a career in Engineering and is now in a possession of Chemical Engineering Diploma, but the music kept pulling him back. He decided to resurrect his music career and is now one of the most prominent DJs in Soweto.
The Dj released a couple of singles through his own record label Urban Vibes Production and has played alongside the best in the scene like Dj Fresh, Black Coffee, Vinny Da Vinci, Oskido, Ganyani, Mbuso, China, Claude, Terrence to name but a few.
He’s also featured at the most prominent festivals in the country like Spring Fiesta, Durban July Marquees, and was recently on a UK tour of 3 cities including Leicester, Coventry, and London.
