Lord MAK blazes Love Month with New Single

‘Mrazane’ a Ndebele word which means a girl is inspired by the love that two people have for each other and how best it is to celebrate love with a song.

Chiawelo’s very own multi-talented artist, producer, composer, songwriter and rapper Bangi Makopo by the stage name of Lord MAK blazed the love month with his much-awaited single ‘Mrazane’ on February 14, 2020.

‘Mrazane’ a Ndebele word which means a girl is inspired by the love that two people have for each other and how best it is to celebrate love with a song. The song will soon be available on all major digital stores,” he said.

He describes ‘Mrazane’ as a love song with a touch of hip hop and soul in it and what makes it even more appealing is its dedication to his wife. “It is a devotion to my wife and daughter a full expression of love in the form of music” he added.

“My aim with ‘Mrazane’ is to let men know that if there is someone they truly love and plan to have a future with, or rather spend their entire life with, it is advisable and wise to let them know how they feel and play their cards openly,” he further explained. The single is a special song for the love season and encourages people to ultimately know that love conquers all.

Lord MAK has a rich musical background and has worked with local and international acts such as Wax Dey from Cameroon.

His passion for music has led him to share the stage with some of South Africa’s finest talented artists with the likes of Kwesta and Micasa at the Heritage Unity Festival in 2018.

The artist released a mixtape in 2019 titled “Son of Musa” under his own independent label Noir Nubian where he works with both local and international producers.

The artist has held a deep passion for music and hip-hop from his adolescence stage, he would recite the lines of Method Man Break-ups to make-ups “You and I till the day we die.” with a LL Cool J swag, ahead of the times of being a ‘love’ rapper, but also absorb the deeply reflective lyrics of DMX, MAK was absorbing all the genre had to offer. He cut his teeth on play-ground battles and honed his skills through writing raps on pieces of paper.

Makopo uses his music and the stage not only to entertain but to inspire those who are hopeless.
