Ditawana Primary School emphasise on the importance of reading

One of the learners who were reading on World read aloud day Keletso Kegorilwe said he loves and enjoys reading because it helps learners to prepare for exams and sharpen their minds.

Ditawana Primary School in Orlando East believes that reading is the way to life and it helps nature their children’s minds and prepares them for the world ahead. For them reading aloud is a norm at the school.

Every morning it is a task that the children should read aloud to each other to help boost their confidence, vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation and reading ability.

According to the principal of the school, she believes that constantly reading is important for the children and the teachers. She said that reading broadens your thinking capacity.
