A terrible incident occurred at house number 2439 Emdeni Extension Sondela Street when it got engulfed by flames. The most terrible part is the whole house is damaged and it needs to be revamped with immediate effect because it has left the whole family homeless.
“We do not know what the cause of the fire is, this is a disaster that left us speechless and it is towards December we are supposed to be comfortable in our home and celebrate the festive season like any other families in our community.
Neighbours managed to assist us in extinguishing the fire and called a fire brigade from the department of Emergency Management Services (EMS), but it was too late because the whole house was burnt.

Renovating this big house would be an enormous hassle because it is extremely expensive as we have to start from scratch, we need help and any form of donation would be highly appreciated,” said one of the residents of the household, Nombulelo Mvulane
The most fortunate part is that nobody sustained any wounds from the fire. The family is still in shock because there was no sign of such a disaster, electricity connections of the household were safely connected and the heater was not even on, which leaves the family in trauma.
“I am the only member of the family that is employed and I do odd jobs in order to put a plate on the table and our parents passed on, so it is extremely hard to go through such situations, we would really appreciate some assistance from the community and any other relevant companies or organisations for our lives to get back to normal, she concluded.
