Suspects arrested for different crimes during their crime prevention operations in the Soweto West Cluster
The police are appealing to the community to continue assisting them with information about any criminal activity they are aware of.
Police arrested suspects for various crimes during their crime prevention operations in the Soweto West Cluster which consists of Moroka, Dobsonville, Ennerdale, Jabulani, Lenasia, Lenasia South, Naledi and Protea Glen Police Stations.
The suspects were arrested for the following crimes: Carjacking, house robbery, theft of motor vehicle, armed robbery, Common Robbery, Murder, possession of unlicensed firearm, possession of ammunition, pointing of firearm, Housebreaking and theft, Assault common, Assault with the intention to inflict grievous bodily harm, Malicious Damage to property, rape, kidnapping, intimidation, Possession of dagga, Possession of drugs.

Other suspects were also arrested for the following crimes: hit and run, theft out of the motor vehicle, culpable homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol, trespassing, fraud, Theft, Shoplifting, Reckless and negligent driving, selling liquor without a licence, theft out of motor vehicle and possession of counterfeit goods.
All Suspects will appear in the Protea Magistrates’ Court and Lenasia Magistrates’ Court on various charges.
