Onicca Majara in Grade 10 was crowned Miss Uniform Emshukantambo 2019/2020 and Thobani Dlamini in Grade 11 crowned Mr. Uniform. Majara said that winning the competition made her realise that if you believe in yourself everything is possible.

“Quite frankly, I was a bit scared and nervous that I might not win since I might be competing with people who are more experienced in such competitions, but the words that kept me going were.

“if others can do it then I can also do it”. So, to sum it all it is a great honour to become Emshukantambo Miss Uniform 2019 /2020 and I will like to thank every individual who voted for me for it is their votes that made it all possible, thank you for believing in me,” she said.

“From here I am going to make sure that I motivate others especially my juniors, I want to show them the importance of wearing your uniform with pride at all times. I would also like to thank the school for giving us such a great opportunity to express ourselves and talents because it is through such opportunities that young people get inspired to participate in pageants such as Miss South Africa,” Majara added.

Dlamini and Majara both agreed that the competition was not about how new your shirt or tie was, but it was about how clean you keep them and how neatly you ‘rock’ them. The two were treated to a great night at the iconic Soweto Hotel along with their teacher, Pule Hlahane.
