Jabulane SAPS’s Youth Desk on a driver for a cleaner environment, starting with a local school in Jabulani

Chairperson of the Youth Crime Prevention Desk, Bucie Selepe said they saw the need to clean the area since it is next to a school and due to hot temperatures the area is affected by smell.

Keeping the environment clean is the only way to sustain it for it to benefit all species that live in it including the plants. Jabulani SAPS’s Youth Desk will kick start at cleaning Campaign tomorrow at Mxolisi Primary School around Jabulani next Hostel.

Chairperson of the Youth Crime Prevention Desk, Bucie Selepe said they saw the need to clean the area since it is next to a school and due to hot temperatures the area is affected by smell.

“We see the need to clean the specific area because we want parents to be part and parcel of every activity taking place at school parents and be involved in the education of their children, we want parents to lead by examples as people who fight against crime,” said Selepe.

Selepe said they use the cleaning campaign to teach children to live a clean life and to develop a habit to live in a clean environment and do away with drugs, Selepe went on to explain some of the challenges they encounter as Youth Crime Prevention.

“It is a challenge because where there is a crime there’s a challenge. We can’t fight crime alone we need the buy-in of other stakeholders, we must unite and fight this crime, drugs, and violence against women and children,” said Selepe.

The cleaning campaign will kick start on Friday at Mxolisi primary school from 9 am to 11 am, the duration of the campaign is uncertain but parents and community members are invited to land a helping hand.
