Naledi woman up for attempted murder

It is alleged that the woman went to his ex-boyfriend's rented room and put poison in the yogurt and she left.

The police arrested a 35-year old woman for attempted murder in Naledi Extension Two. According to police spokesperson, Vincent Mashiteng it is alleged that the woman went to his ex-boyfriend’s rented room and put poison in the yogurt and she left.

The ex-boyfriend went to the room with his new girlfriend unaware that his ex-girlfriend was in the room as she still had the room keys.

“The new girlfriend ate the yogurt and she collapsed.

“She was rushed to hospital and received treatment,” said Mashiteng.

He said the girlfriend is recovering well and the landlord told the man that his ex-girlfriend was in the room.

“He then called her to find out what was she doing in the room.

“It is alleged that she said to the man why is he not dead because she put poison in the yogurt,” said Mashiteng.

The police were called and they responded quickly and the woman was traced and arrested for attempted murder.

She will appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court.
